Most of us are probably still recovering from enjoying an enormous Thanksgiving meal spent with family and friends. Just like we're used to hearing from family that are far away, the "eBay family" also heard from one of its members -- only in this case, it was from the other side of the world!
On Thanksgiving day, we heard from an eBay member from afar. A thread was started on the Sports & Memorabilia discussion board by a U.S. Air Force Major currently serving in Afghanistan. He wished everyone a Happy Thanksgivng and mentioned that reading the eBay discussion forums sometimes helps the troops stationed there feel the support from those of us here at home. In true eBay Community fashion, many fellow eBay members responded with thanks, support and prayers for the troops serving overseas. As of the time of this writing, pledges of support and thanks have come from over a dozen states as well as the Canadian provinces. You can view the thread by clicking here. On behalf of the eBay family, many thanks to all the men and women serving our country.
