The Picture Machine

When I wandered down to the floor a little bit ago, I had two different people immediately come up to me and ask for one of my sticky pictures. Sadly, I didn't have any yet, so I was directed
over to The Picture Machine (I don't really know its actual name). The Machine is just like one of those you'd see at a mall. You go in front of the video screen, it snaps your picture, and it spits out a page of 16 miniature-sized photos. They're all sticky, and the intent was for members to put them on a giant replica of Fenway Park right behind The Machine - a Fenway full of eBay members. But while some folks are using them for their intended purpose, most are swapping them with everyone else, turning their
badges into a yearbook of sorts. It's actually really cool. That's my coworker April's badge with a bunch of pics (and a really bad flash reflection from my camera).
And while I was in line, I met Kathy, who trades under the ID eagleyeski. She's generally a buyer right now, but is contemplating getting into selling full-time. "I'm here to explore selling opportunities, network, and to basically learn more about eBay." She has a passion for travel and tourism, and is looking to somehow to turn that into an online
business. "I haven't quite found that yet, but I'm working on it," she said with a smile. She's also taking a fantastic-sounding 3 week kayak trip down Baja California soon - made me very jealous. She's thinking about keeping a blog here on eBay to chronicle her trip, so keep an eye out for it!
