Sellers get ideas - Big Ideas

I had to dash off to the Keynote address yesterday evening, so I didn't get a chance to post this until today.
Many sellers attending yesterday's "Product Sourcing - Find Products Buyers Want" seminar were first time eBay Live! attendees. In fact, several were there because they had only recently decided to sell seriously on eBay and were attending eBay Live! to pick up tips. James and Karen, a husband and wife team (jka_treasures) were thinking of taking up their eBay sales a notch or two (so far they've only sold bits of James' childhood coin collection, "clutter" from the attic, etc. ). Karen attended the product
sourcing seminar while James went to the Seth Godin seminar I blogged about before (good teamwork, guys!). James, who's a sports enthusiast, was inspired by Seth's advice to become an expert or "go to" person in your area of interest, and was seriously thinking of starting a blog about baseball cards to get his inventory going.
Meanwhile, Rich (richvl), a financial planner in his life outside eBay, had the beginnings of an entire business plan form in his mind after attending the product sourcing seminar. Besides following the advice to keep up with pop culture trends, he had also decided to focus on selling accessories for a popular product instead of selling the product itself (for example, selling iPod covers instead of the iPods themselves). He's on the cusp of a Big Idea. What is it? He ain't telling. Naturally.
