Dreams do come true

Bevdsmug_2 Once upon a time, there was a young woman dreaming of being a princess and attending prom. She had fallen on hard times and funds for the formal attire were not available. What does all of this have to do with selling on eBay? According to niceties05 - everything!

"I designed and made all of my five children and their friends wedding veils. They encouraged me to make them and sell them on eBay." To display the veils, niceties05 (Judy) bought 10 gowns for $150, keeping only the ones she liked and listing the rest on eBay. "I sold all the gowns I listed and have yet to sell a veil."

This evolved into selling new designer items, attracting buyers including one buyer with attachments to the Royal Swedish family. February of 2006, Judy was approached by Good Morning America who purchased 8 of the Aurora evening gowns for fashion make-overs for survivors of hurricane Katrina that were presented at the Academy Awards.

More recently, Judy completed a fashion show that aired in Missouri on the Ozark 98 television station  supporting the Cinderella Project, a charity that provides prom gowns for girls who would normally not be able to attend prom (now do you see the connection?) The Ms. Globe and Vanity Fair representatives are making a commercial from this show, awarding the rights to Judy for future use. This program will also air nationally next year promoting the Ms. Globe pageant and the Cinderella Project.

I asked Judy what she enjoyed most about selling on eBay. "I've received inivitations from all over the world because of selling on eBay. Good customer service has evolved into friendship. I wished I was retired so I could visit all the wonderful new friends."

Here's Judy to share a bit more of her amazing story.
