Success of The Fray Costs eBay a PowerSeller

While perusing my latest edition of Entertainment Weekly (or as my peeps and I sometimes call it..."E-Dub") I stumbled across an excellent surprise involving one of my favorite new musical acts, The Fray.
The Colorado based quartet rose to fame in the last year after their song "How to Save a Life" was featured in two primetime medical shows. I stumbled across it during a powerful scene from Scrubs (which prompted
me to rush over to Half.com and find the album), but it gained even more exposure thanks to ratings juggernaut Grey's Anatomy.
Anyway, they are now platinum selling artists but not long ago they were a struggling band just hoping to get a deal...which brings as back to the E-Dub article. It turns out that before Epic records signed the band in late 2004, co-founder and lead guitarist Joe King made his living as an eBay PowerSeller. Hopefully his absence, and the popularity of various The Fray related merchandise, has been good for other sellers on the site.
