Skype as Lie Detector?

Posted by Jeff on January 16, 2007 at 01:03 PM in General | Permalink

Jeff_post_103 Are you fibbing over Skype (maybe about whether you're going to giftwrap that Porsche you Skype_logo bought your sweetheart)? You could be in trouble - BATM, a 3rd party company, has come up with its Kishkish add-on for Skype that supposedly can analyze the tones in your conversation to detect how truthful you're being. It's been getting a lot of coverage in the press and blogosphere over the past month - here's a funny writeup on engadget, or go directly to kishkish's page for an explanation and demo on Voice Stress Analysis. I think most people will be familiar with the test subject they use.
