A Different Type of Alaska Airlines

Want to fly like the Governor of Alaska? Now you have your chance. The State of Alaska, which has a history of using eBay to sell state surplus, has listed a Westwind II private jet that was used during the former governor's tenure.
Not only do you get a flashy mode of transportation, but you'll also get some controversy for your money. As detailed in this article, the jet was a "lightning rod of criticism for former Governor Frank Murkowski." Apparently he had purchased the jet over the objections of the state Legislature, and current Governor Sarah Palin actually used it as a plank in her campaign platform, promising to sell it off if elected. Now she's living up to her promise, and you can own this piece of Alaskan history (if you can meet the Reserve).
