Retro TV Shows Making a Splash

Posted by Ryan on December 04, 2006 at 03:45 PM in eBay in Pop Culture , General | Permalink

Ryan_post_39It doesn't matter if you are Gen X, Gen Y, or in my case somewhere in the middle (which according to Wikipedia is sometimes called the MTV Generation), you'll no doubt have some memories of one of the signature TV shows of the 80's: Miami Vice

Boat Earlier this month one of the most iconic images of 80's television, the original Miami Vice boat (placed securely behind "designer stubble", T-shirt/Armani jacket pairing, and pastel colors) was auctioned off. This 39 foot racing boat started at $100 and closed at just a penny over $40,105.

I may not have been a big enough Vice fan to consider bidding on that item, however I wondered if there were any authentic Dukes of Hazzard "General Lee" Dodge Chargers on the site.  Fortunately for me there were only custom restored imitations.
