Embed Your Name in eBay's Code! (And learn what that means, too!)

Would you get a kick out of knowing that your name, User ID, and message to the world was embedded deep inside the software that runs eBay? Each time any of the millions of people who use eBay every day accesses the site, your name will come into play, somewhere within eBay's back-end structure. If the idea tickles your fancy, check out this listing. The seller is an eBay employee who's trying to help his team win a prize in an employees-only contest that's running within the company, as well as help a local charity provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
The winner of this listing will get to have their name, User ID, and a message to the world (naturally subject to editorial discretion) embedded in eBay's kernel code, the software that actually powers the site. The winner, or other people using the site, will not actually be able to view their name and message, but it will be there. In a cool analogy, the seller is comparing it to having a plaque with your name installed in every aircraft engine - passengers won't be able to see it but the mechanics and crew will.
The winner will also receive a certificate showing the actual computer code with their name on it, signed and authenticated by a team of "all star eBay developers."
This is your chance to perpetuate your name in cyberspace! The listing already has 41 bids, with the current high bid above $100. Remember, all the proceeds from this listing will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
