How to Build a House from a Paper Clip

I wish I could say this next story happened on eBay, but we don't get to lay claim to all of the fun (or bizarre) happenings on the Web.  About a year ago a man, starting only with a craigslist post for a red paper clip, set out to barter his way to home ownership. One trade at a time he looked to build his value in the hopes of eventually landing a home to call his own.  Michael McDonald retells the whole chain of events on his blog.  There you can also get a peek at the flurry of news coverage that has come his way, including a really well written news package on CNN (inserted below).
