Big Red Flags

Hi everyone! I'm back from my family vacation back east. Enough sleeping on fold out couches and using guest towels -- I'm happy to be back in my own bed. Now I just have to get through all this email...
I was poking around in the Answer Center board recently and I saw a post referring to jenny_lake's "Red Flags" page. It's really well thought out (she's now on version 3.1) and there's a wealth of information in there, so I thought I'd share the link on here with you guys:

In summary, here they are:
"13 RED FLAGS
To Warn a Bidder of a Fraudulent Transaction
Most people who are defrauded are victims of their own greed. When a transaction appears to be too good to be true, it likely is. Application of common sense can preserve your money.
1. A popular item is offered at a significant discount
2. Payment options provide little or no security for the buyer
3. Misleading claims of transaction security or buyer protection
4. Item is no longer listed on eBay
5. The sellers location may be a clue to a fraudulent transaction
6. The bidder needs to be pre-approved or the item is listed in a private auction.
7. Item is listed on a hijacked account
8. Free shipping from a distant country
9. No photo or stock photos are used
10. One to three day auctions
11. An unbelievable bargain is frequently a counterfeit item (or does not exist)
12. Escrow other than escrow.com is used
13. Fraudulent second chance offer is sent"
Those are just the highlights. On the live page each number is clickable and goes into more detail.
Can you think of any other good warning signs? I want to print this list out on bright orange paper and tape it to the side of my Mom's computer... lol
Kudos to jenny_lake for providing such a great service to our community!
