And We're Off!

As I walked through the hallways of the Mandalay Bay Convention Center this morning, you could feel the buzz starting to build. There were a lot of members here early, picking up their registration materials, buying morning snacks (the kiosks and small restaurants around here are going to make a killing), and looking through their schedules. And finally, 9am arrived, and the doors to the Solutions Center were thrown open. If you've never been to eBay Live! before, the Solutions Center is basically the main show floor. That's where you'll find all the eBay and exhibitor booths, and we'll be doing a lot of blogging about what's going on down  there.

As you walk in, you're immediately met by a giant, glowing "The Power of All of Us" sign against a black curtain - a very cool effect, and I heard several members say the same as I walked by. As you turn the corner, the room opens up and you get your first glimpse of the booths. The USPS has the prime position of "first booth you see as you walk in," so a lot of folks headed right over there. I ran into a few members I had met before, and tagged along as they headed to the Pinks Lounge (which I'll do another post on shortly).

After coming to past eBay Live!'s in Orlando and New Orleans, ozme couldn't make it to San Jose last year (she's on the right in the picture, with disdannie on the left), and she was very excited to be here in Vegas. Since she's an eBay Live! veteran, I asked her what she was looking forward to this year. In true collector fashion, she replied, "Pins! I'm an admitted eBay pin junkie, and love eBay collectibles." She also isn't all that interested in many of the classes...as she says, "I'm here for the fun!"
